"Since Karl started his association with the Whippany Railway Museum in June 2007, he has made a huge contribution. He stands out as a rail enthusiast who knows how to get results in the business world. With Karl's work as the driving force behind setting up our new on-line ticketing website, we were able to attribute a large volume of on-line advance sales which overcompensated for a low showing of traditional mail-order Easter ticket sales. He is extremely Marketing oriented. Karl determined which advertisements were unprofitable, which has the potential to substantially reduce our advertising budget while increasing profits. His passenger surveys helped us improve our summer Caboose Train rides, and his command of the computer has been a big asset to the Museum. He is continually thinking of new ideas to help the Whippany Railway Museum improve operations. Karl created an automated e-mail newsletter to replace our previous method of mass-mailing updates. I no longer have to manually deal with bounced messages. Karl's promo e-mail "blasts" are a guaranteed way to increase ticket sales before a ride weekend, and it keeps growing. In less than a year, he helped us double our mailing list to almost 1,500 e-mail addresses.
